Raul JuliaGomez Addams

Born Raul Rafael Carlos Julia y Arcelay on 9 March 1940 in San Juan (Puerto Rico), he moved to New York in 1964 to persue his dream in acting. He has appeared in popular films such as Presummed Innocent and Tequila Sunrise, as well as the Addams Family and Addams Family Values, but perfers choose roles that mean something to him rther than which roles will get him famous. He tragically died at the age of 54 of a cancer related stroke, on the 24 October 1994.

 

 

 

Anjelica Huston - Morticia Addams

 

Anjelica Huston was born 8 July 1951 in California. In 1969 she began acting, taking a few small roles in her fathers films, director John Huston. Some of her more popular films include The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, Prizzi's Honor (For which she won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress), Enemies, A Love Story and Family Pictures. She is married to sculpter Robert Graham.

 

 

Christopher Lloyd - Fester Addams

Christopher Allen Lloyd was born in Connecticut on 22 October 1938. He has appeared in over two hundred plays, as well some very well know films, including Back To The Future, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, Star Trek, Anastasia, and Mr Mom. He takes his acting very seriously, for example, when preparing for his role in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest he lived in a mental institution for a few weeks and studied the patients. He modeled his character after one of the patients and stayed in character throughout all filming even when not on screen. Suprisingly he has never been nominated for an Acadamy Award.

 

 

Christina Ricci - Wednesday Addams

 

Christina Ricci was born 12 February 1980 in California. Her first acting role was at the age of ten in the movie Mermaids. She has since appeared in films such as Casper, Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas, Sleepy Hollow, Bless The Child, and Monster. Although she is a well respected actress, she has never formally studied acting.

 

 

Jimmy Workman - Pugsley Addams

Jimmy Workman was born 4th October 1980. He has appeared in Christmas In Connecticut, Black Sheep, As Good As It Gets, The Biggest Fan and To Kill A Mockumentary. His chance to appear in the Addams Family happened quite by accident. His sister read for the Part of Wednesday, while Jimmy played at the set. When the casting directors noticed Jimmy, they immediately saw a possibility and Jimmy was asked to read the part of Pugsley.

 

 

Carel Struycken - Lurch

 

Carel was born in The Hague (Netherlands) on 30 July 1948. When he was only 4 years old his family moved to Curacao, an island in the Caribbean. At 16 he returned to his country, where he finished high school. Many of his film roles are non speaking. He has been diagnoised with acromegaly (giantism).

 

 

Dana Ivey - Margaret Addams

 

Dana was born 12 August 1942 in Atlanta. She decided at age six that she wanted to act, and throughout school she pursued it. She majored in theatre at Rollins College in Florida. She received a grant tostudy drama in England at the London Academy of Music and Art. She has received critical acclaim on the stage, winning many honors.

 

 

John Franklin - Cousin Itt

 

John Franklin was born John Paul Salapatek on 16 June 1967 in Chicago. He has appeared in such films as Children of the Corn, Child's Play, and Star Trek. He suffers from a condition known as GHD (Growth Hormone Deficiency), to which John gives partial credit for his seeming many years younger than he actually is.

 

 

Christopher Hart - Thing

Christopher Hart was born in Naniamo, British Columbia, Canada and is a very well respected magician. In fact, it was his dexterity, along with his long thin fingers which landed him the role of Thing on The Addams Family Movie. Thing proved so good a part for Christopher, he would reprise, it not only in the sequel "Addams Family Values", but in 1998 on the made for video "Addams Family Reunion".
"This Project affords me the opportunity to create the ultimate magic." Christopher Hart said of his role. So magical was his portrayal, that Director Barry Sonnenfeld, went back to the editing room floor and put back into the movie many scenes which had been cut, after seeing the reaction to Thing from special test audiences.
